Team Spotlight: Meet Tricia — A Peek Behind the Office Desk at Four Seasons

At Four Seasons Pest Control, we’re proud of the people who keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. One of those stars is Tricia, a vibrant and hardworking member of our office team. Not only does she schedule for our Virginia customers, but she also schedules for the Currituck and outreach areas of North Caroline.

From her warm smile to her adventurous spirit, Tricia brings energy, insight, and a whole lot of heart to our workplace. We sat down with her to learn more about her experiences, preferences, and quirks—and she did not disappoint!

What is your favorite Part of the job?

Hands down, it’s the work environment and my co-workers. We’ve got such a great team here, and that makes even the busiest days so much better. I genuinely look forward to coming in every day and catching up with everyone.  We all have fun and joke around and we have a great comraderie.

What is the most challenging part of the job?

I’d say the most challenging part of my job is dealing with those “grey areas”—I’m the kind of person who likes things straightforward and clear. I like having all the facts and staying up to date on everything going on. So when I don’t have that, it can definitely feel a little frustrating!

Time with Four Seasons

I have been with Four Seasons for 1 year and 4 months.   In that time, I've built some strong relationships with our customers.

Fun Facts: Who Is Tricia?

I’ve lived in a few different places—I was born in Hawaii, moved to Oklahoma, and now I call Currituck home. I love to travel, and one of my favorite things to do is snow skiing. So if you don't get hold of me, I'm probably jet-setting somewhere exotic.

We threw a few fun "would you rather" questions her way, and here’s how she answered:

Home-cooked meal or restaurant?

Definitely home-cooked. There’s something about a good meal at home that just can’t be beat.

Netflix or video games?

I'm a Netflix girl all the way.

Beach or mountains?

Depends on the time of year! I love a perfectly gorgeous beach in the summer and the mountains in the winter, especially if I can hit the slopes.

Summer or winter?

I actually love both, but if I had to pick, I’d say summer.

When we got down to pest talk, Tricia had strong opinions:

Cockroaches or rodents?

Rodents, hands down. According to her, they’re much easier and quicker for techs to handle.

Recurring customer vs. brand-new signup?

She’d rather reschedule a recurring customer. It’s faster, which helps during high-call times, and she loves catching up with the customers she’s built strong relationships with.  That being said she gets excited when new customers come on board as it gives her new relationships to build.

If you could be any bug, What would you be?

I’d be a black widow spider. I like that they can crawl around and hide in small spaces—they're kind of mysterious. Plus, I think they’re a little bouji with that red mark, and I’m here for it.

If you had Three Wishes From a Genie, What Would They be?

1. Better health.

2. A dream trip to Bora Bora.

3. To feel completely comfortable with where I am in life right now.

We’re so lucky to have Tricia on our team! Her spirit, humor, and dedication make her a truly special part of the Four Seasons family.

Stay tuned for more team spotlights as we continue to introduce you to the incredible folks who help make Four Seasons Pest Control a trusted name in the Outer Banks and Tidewater areas!

Wondering what pests are causing problems this spring in the Outer Banks and Hampton Roads? Termites
By Sarah Jump April 15, 2025
As warmer weather rolls into the Outer Banks and Hampton Roads, so do the bugs and critters we all love to hate. At Four Seasons Pest Control, we’ve been seeing a major uptick in service calls — and it’s no surprise. Certain pests thrive this time of year, especially here in coastal North Carolina and southeastern Virginia where the humidity and proximity to water create perfect conditions for them. Here’s a look at the top 3 pest problems local homeowners are searching for right now — and what you need to know to protect your home and family.

If you've noticed clouds of tiny flying insects around your home or business in the Outer Banks or Tidewater Virginia, you're not alone. We're getting a lot of calls about midges right now—and for good reason. These little pests can show up in huge numbers, especially in areas close to water (which, let’s face it, describes a lot of our beautiful coastal region). Let’s break down what midges are, why they’re showing up, how to prevent them, and how Four Seasons Pest Control can help you kick them to the curb.

Subterranean termites are a hidden threat to homes and businesses across North Eastern North Carolina. These "silent destroyers" can cause significant damage before homeowners even realize they have a problem. Knowing the signs of a termite infestation and catching the problem early is key to preventing costly repairs. In this post, we’ll walk you through the common signs of subterranean termites and provide tips for detecting an infestation before it gets out of hand.
